The AP mount allows you to keep your telescope in a safe and stable position. Thanks to the friction coupling mechanism, the mount can quickly be oriented towards the desired object.

Many accessories are available as options. The ADVANCED POLARIS (AP) mount is designed for beginners but also for experienced observers looking to acquire a lightweight travel mount.

SLEEK DESIGN
The AP mount is extremely smooth, with no particular protrusions. Place your telescope on the mount and aim it at the object you wish to observe, without having to loosen anything.

QUICK POLAR ALIGNMENT
The simple alignment towards your target object using the friction coupling greatly facilitates the adjustment since you no longer have to search for the tightening screws in the dark. With the help of an optional polar sighting scope, you can find the celestial pole even when it is hidden by trees or houses.

OPTIONAL POLAR SIGHTING SCOPE
The new polar sighting scope allows for a novel polar alignment. You simply need to adjust the visible stars in the reticle. The alignment is done using 3 guide stars. The polar finder is illuminated during alignment and then automatically turns off after 3 minutes to save energy.

OPTIONAL POWER SUPPLY
The AD and DEC motor modules operate with four AA alkaline batteries, Ni-MH, or Ni-Cd. The AD motor module features a Micro-B USB port for connecting an external power supply. During long observations, you can use a USB battery or a car charging cable.

OPTIONAL STAR BOOK ONE CONTROL
The STAR BOOK ONE control is a versatile controller that remains easy to use. It allows you to move the instrument at different speeds in the AD and DEC axes. The tracking options offer different speeds for tracking celestial objects: sidereal, lunar, solar, and many more. Thus, the control offers you numerous practical functions, such as play compensation, an autoguider port, periodic error correction (PEC), and integrated red LED lighting. The STAR BOOK ONE control is designed for the AP-SM mount and is an integral part of the AD motor module.
