The Moebius telescope kit consists of a 600 mm focal length telescope, an exclusive design altazimuth mount without a stop, and a sturdy tripod, making it a practical kit for observing celestial bodies for astronomy beginners.
This Kenko x Borg project aims to provide the Japanese market with a high-quality, compact, and easy-to-use tool for celestial observation that goes beyond entry-level telescopes.
The optics
The telescope components are supplied by Borg (Tomytec), which has applied high-quality standards for 32 years and has expertise in producing high-end optical products.
The most well-known advantage of Borg telescopes is their customizable design. All parts of the Moebius telescope are compatible with various Borg accessories, allowing the user to build their own telescope.
The body is a tube made of several precisely machined aluminum parts, while the exterior design and optics can easily compete with high-end Borg models.
The mount
The elegantly designed and compact altazimuth mount is provided by Kenko (Kenko Tokina). It features a stopless construction with a locking function that allows for smooth and confident operations with a load capacity of 5 kg.
A sturdy tripod from Kenko ensures stable adjustment of the telescope. Compared to conventional aluminum tripods, this Moebius tripod is made of stainless steel.
