Omegon erecting lens - How to use your telescope for nature observation

The panorama of the mountains in front of you, a majestic deer in the meadow, grazing on the juicy grass. Or the cruise ship, gliding along the horizon, far out at sea.

There are several reasons to observe nature with a telescope. Regardless of the optics, telescope or binoculars, without the corresponding correction, it generates inverted images. The Omegon erecting lens puts the image right side up and allows you to use your telescope for nature observation.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Ultra-short design with roof prisms
  • Specifically designed for Newton-type telescopes
  • Anti-reflective: multi-coated lens elements
  • Compatible with all 1.25" eyepieces
  • T2 thread for camera connection

In short, a new product in erecting lenses

The Omegon erecting lens features a brand new unique design. Regular lenses are very long and sometimes even uncomfortable for observation. The Omegon lens extends only 60 mm out of the tube. What does this bring you? A better and more comfortable view.

A lens that is not a lens, but an erecting prism

The erecting lens consists of a combination of coated lenses and a roof prism. This allows you to enjoy a comfortable view, comparable to that of an Amici erecting diagonal for binoculars or a pair of binoculars. The difference: you can now use the Omegon lens with an integrated erecting prism with your Newton telescope.

T2 thread: A photo for the album

The following situation is not uncommon: You observe an object or scene that you want to keep. With the Omegon erecting lens, this is very easy, because an attached T2 thread allows for the mounting of a camera. Connect your DSLR with an optional T2 ring. Press the shutter button and the image is in the box.
