The Vixen Porta II mount is an altazimuth mount of award-winning Vixen quality.
It impresses with its simplicity, versatility, and reliability.
It is specially designed for quick and precise observations in vertical and horizontal alignment with your telescope, without the need for a complicated setup. It comes with fine adjustment with handles for precise tracking of celestial objects.
The dovetail mounting system (Vixen Standard) ensures maximum compatibility with a wide range of astronomical telescopes.
The mount head can be quickly removed from the tripod with an M10 screw, making the system very portable.

Ease of handling
The PORTA II mount requires no tightening; it features a friction coupling that allows for easy adjustment of the mount to an object. It automatically maintains its position and can therefore be easily used by anyone.

Easy to transport
The head of the Porta II mount can be disassembled by removing a single screw, making the mount easily portable.

Ease of use
The PORTA II adjustment system offers slow motion of the circle. The positions of the slow-motion control handles in elevation and azimuth can be adjusted in 45° increments. This allows the user to set the handles for a comfortable position, regardless of the size of the optical tube used.

Accessory storage
The accessory holder features cutouts for your eyepieces. You can also use it to place small photography accessories. The holder is mounted using a central screw.

Integrated tool
In order to adjust the friction coupling, a tool is already integrated into the mount. It is stored under the rubber cover of the mount and can be quickly accessed.
