A brand new type of polar finder with a simple alignment method. The Vixen PF-L II polar finder for AP & SX mounts displays the polar star and 2 other stars (Delta UMi and 51 Cep) in real position. By rotating the polar finder, you adjust these stars according to the reticle, and the position of the North Pole is correctly displayed. You just need to adjust the polar star to the year mark.
Therefore, there is no need for complicated alignment using the date and time. For the southern hemisphere, simply use the trapezium (Sigma, Chi, Tau, and Upsilon Octantis) of the Octans constellation and align the reticle with the stars of the trapezium.
The polar finder features built-in illumination that can be adjusted to multiple levels and automatically turns off after 2 minutes.
The PFL-II has improved edge sharpness compared to its predecessor.
