The hybrid base for EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC finder scopes is designed to accept all old EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC finder scope mounts and dovetail mounts (e.g., Vixen, Synta, and Celestron). The base is made of robust all-metal parts, with a black anodized base and chrome-plated metal screws.

Safety stops prevent the scope from slipping and falling when the mounting screws are loosened. Threaded holes are provided on the left and right sides of the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC hybrid finder scope base for access to the mounting screws.

Includes bolts and screws for mounting the base to the optical tube. Direct replacement for all EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC telescopes, allowing the use of a wide range of finder options from other brands.
