Pulsar | Axion-2 XG35

Ultra compact and lightweight with powerful performance

Enhanced image processing algorithms

The Axion 2 thermal imaging devices use a new approach to image optimization based on objectives and observation conditions, providing high-quality rendering of target objects and backgrounds. Three levels of signal amplification combined with a connected smoothing filter and fine adjustments of brightness and contrast offer the hunter great possibilities for long-distance detection of animals in different weather and temperature conditions and for determining their trophy qualities.

High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing

The Axion 2 is designed for constant and often difficult use. A magnesium alloy housing is both lightweight and sturdy. The housing reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively dissipates heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise, and increases the consistency of the device's operation during prolonged observations.

High-sensitivity Lynred sensor of European manufacture

The Axion 2 thermal monoculars are equipped with a European Lynred sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels (pixel size 17 µm) / 640x480 pixels (pixel size 12 µm), which qualitatively captures a useful signal in difficult observation conditions such as rain, fog, and high humidity at the observation site.

F35/1.0 fast aperture objective

The F35/1.0 germanium objective is characterized by high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Thanks to the high-precision manufacturing of the optical elements of the objective, the image generated by the sensor of the Axion 2 thermal imaging device stands out for its clarity and detail.

Extended battery life. Up to 11 hours on a single charge

A high-capacity APS5 rechargeable battery allows, depending on the model, up to 11 hours of continuous operation of the thermal imaging device on a single charge. The battery is removed from the housing and replaced with a new one in seconds. The battery is charged in a special charger or inside the device from a PC, a household power system, or a power bank via USB-C. The same sources are used for the external power supply of a thermal imaging device.

Improved Wi-Fi connectivity with support for 2.4 / 5 GHZ bands

In the Axion 2 thermal imagers, the standard frequency range for connecting smartphones via a 2.4 GHz WiFi channel is complemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer rates, noise immunity, and better connection stability, allowing for more productive and easier use of the thermal imager with a smartphone.

Detection range of up to 1750 m

A powerful F35/1.0 objective combined with highly sensitive thermal sensors offers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object 1.8 m high can be detected up to 1,750 m away in total darkness.

Pocket-sized dimensions and lightweight

The Axion 2 has a compact design and is pocket-sized, weighing 300 grams. The device is easy to handle and use for both right-handed and left-handed users thanks to its symmetrical design and the linear arrangement of buttons on the top panel.

Variable magnification

The digital zoom allows for better focusing and overall recognition of objects at significant distances. The zoom varies either gradually in steps of 2 or continuously for an optimal and personalized field of view depending on the situation.

Integrated photo and video recorder. Free 16 GB cloud space

The Axion 2 features a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Axion 2 can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A simple press of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording a video. The footage is copied to a computer's hard drive via a USB-C port. The owner of the Axion 2 has 16 GB of free disk space to store photos and videos captured with the device in the Pulsar cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in, and connect the device with a smartphone via Wi-Fi.

Remote operation and firmware updates from a smartphone via the Stream Vision 2 app

The built-in WiFi allows connecting the Axion 2 system to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a wide range of options, including wireless software updates of the device, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, publishing photo and video content captured by the device on social media or transferring to messaging services, remote control of the functions of the digital device, and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Additionally, registered users benefit from 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.

Quick start

The Axion 2 features a short startup time: the device is fully operational within 5 seconds after pressing the ON button. The quick start saves battery: when hunting, the Axion 2 does not need to be ready at all times, just turn it on when needed.

High-contrast AMOLED display

The high-contrast AMOLED display offers better color rendering, energy savings, and quick response, allowing for sharp and fluid images even in frosty conditions.

A selection of 8 color palettes

A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more effectively, enabling them to optimize the device for specific tasks and respond to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, while Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are better suited for prolonged observation at night.

Fully waterproof IPX7

Rated IPX7 for protection against heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation. The device is designed to operate perfectly even after immersion in one meter of water for 30 minutes.
