The NOMAD-5 is a high-end telecentric focal multiplier designed to deliver exceptional optical performance for both visual observation and astrophotography.

Visual observation: 5x magnification

Used as a Barlow lens with an eyepiece, the NOMAD-5 multiplies the magnification by five. This allows for particularly detailed views of the Moon and planetary surfaces, while maintaining excellent image quality.

Its optical design utilizing high-index glasses and multi-coatings promotes optimal light transmission and great sharpness. The self-centering brass clamp ensures a precise hold while avoiding marking the eyepieces. The captive retaining screw guarantees a secure and reliable grip.

Astrophotography: precision and excellent optical correction

Thanks to its optical system composed of 4 lenses, the NOMAD-5 offers excellent field correction and effectively limits perceptible chromatic aberrations. It is particularly suited for high-resolution astrophotography of the Moon and planets.

Its design helps preserve the optical performance of the telescope and specifically maintains the apochromatic qualities of an ED scope.

A CCD camera can be directly connected using the included adapter. To use a DSLR camera, simply pair the included adapter with a compatible T2 ring for the camera mount.
