The telescope mount:
The Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ5GT mount is a heavy-duty, dual-use GoTo telescope mount that is fully computer-controlled and designed for astronomy, capable of being used in either azimuthal or equatorial position.
The mount comes with a special SynScan remote control equipped with software for both AZ and EQ modes and can automatically search for and track over 42,900 objects in its database. In equatorial mode, the mount can be used for both visual and astrophotography. In AZ mode, it is primarily intended for visual observation. In this mode, it is also possible to use two telescopes in parallel.
A brilliant idea is the patented "Freedom-Find" dual encoder technology. This allows the telescope to be moved manually and freely in both axes without the mount losing position data. This gives the observer enormous freedom and great comfort in observation.
