The camera mounting rail from EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC is made of die-cast aluminum. The dovetail rail has a width of 45 mm (similar to the Vixen dovetail style) and a length of 280 mm.

The matte black anodized surface features, on one side, a laser-engraved scale with fine graduation of 2 mm between the markings. This facilitates determining the center of gravity when setting up the camera on the mount head. To protect the clamping surface, there is a stainless steel clamping plate on the opposite side.

The dovetail plate is equipped with rubber inserts at 3 positions. This allows for secure attachment of the camera equipment and prevents any unwanted slipping or twisting. The mounting rail has a screw attachment with a 1/4 inch photo thread, which is compatible with almost all common cameras.

The screw attachment can be used with 3 different positions of the elongated holes to achieve perfect balance. Additionally, a camera thread adapter from 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch is also included to directly use ball heads with the larger thread model. The camera mounting rail weighs only 250 grams.

Compatible with all EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC and BRESSER mounts as well as mounts from other brands that accept the famous Vixen-GP dovetail rail.
