Introduction to the new generation of compact equatorial mounts with central balancing from iOptron, the CEM26

Like its predecessors, the CEM26 is designed to be easy to transport, weighing only 4.5 kg, it can support up to 12 kg of payload, resulting in an incredible weight/payload ratio of 2.6. The key to enabling such ratios is the design of the CEM, which concentrates the weight of the mount and payload directly over the center of the tripod, providing a "natural stability". 

Building on the legacy of previous CEM models, we have added features for more convenience and functionality. A positive locking gear engagement system (easy to use even with gloves), integrated Wi-Fi for unmatched connectivity, and recordable permanent periodic error correction (PPEC) to repeat optimal PEC training sessions. In terms of functionality, the CEM26 offers precise pointing and accurate tracking. The CEM26 sets the new standard for compact equatorial mounts. 

The balanced design support places the weight of the payload at the center of gravity, allowing for greater natural stability. Other features include an adjustable counterweight bar to avoid any obstruction with the tripod. And polar alignment is quick and always accessible since the polar sighting is not blocked by the declination shaft. 

The CEM26 is equipped with the latest advanced GOTONOVA® GOTO technology, making it one of the most powerful and precise GOTO mounts available. Its database includes over 212,000+ objects. The Go2Nova® hand controller is intuitive, and its large 4-line LCD screen simplifies the process of setting up telescopes and locating objects.

The CEM26B mount comes with an AccuAlign optical polar scope for quick and easy polar alignment. It includes a very sturdy LiteRoc stainless steel tripod and an aluminum transport case.
