This solar filter is specifically designed for 5-inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Two Velcro straps securely hold the filter in place for a safe and snug fit.

Safe solar technology

Celestron's Solar Safe filter technology is SAFE for direct solar observation and has been independently tested to comply with and meet the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015(E), Filters for direct solar observation, EN 1836:2005 + A1:2007 (E) for an E15 filter for direct solar observation, and AS/NZS 1338.1:2012, Filters for eye protectors.

Solar warnings

• Only observe the sun with eye protection that complies with ISO standards, such as the filter contained in this EclipSmart product. Never look directly at the sun with the naked eye or with unfiltered optics. Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
  
  
• Never alter or remove the permanently placed glass filters in this optic. This is dangerous and will void your warranty.
  
  
• Never leave your optics unattended. Ensure that an adult familiar with the correct usage procedures is nearby the optics at all times, especially in the presence of children.
  
  
• Never remove your eye protection when looking directly at the sun during the partial phases of a solar eclipse.
