The Sky-Watcher Startravel telescopes are high-quality, 2-element achromatic refractors designed for wide-field observations: comets, star fields, clusters, nebulae, bright galaxies, planets, and the Moon — and with suitable solar filters, the Sun as well. They are equally suitable for terrestrial observation during the day.
These short-tube wide-field telescopes are perfect for astrophotography as well as for terrestrial photography with a digital SLR. Their short focal ratio makes them ideal for photographing lunar and solar eclipses, as well as for nature photography.
The high-quality, user-friendly AZ Pronto altazimuth mount offers great stability combined with the included stainless steel tripod and allows for precise pointing thanks to the flexible cables in azimuth and altitude. An extension column of 21.5 cm is provided to increase height if necessary.
A powerful and accessible telescope/mount set, particularly recommended for beginners, but also appreciated by experienced observers wanting an instrument always at hand.
