The Sky-Watcher Startravel telescopes are high-quality 2-element achromatic refractors with air spacing, perfectly suited for wide-field observations: comets, star fields, star clusters, nebulae, bright galaxies, planets, and the Moon — and with appropriate solar filters, the Sun as well. They are equally suitable for terrestrial observation during the day.
These short-tube wide-field telescopes are ideal for astrophotography as well as for nature photography with a digital SLR camera. Their short focal ratio makes them particularly suitable for photographing lunar and solar eclipses, as well as for nature photography.
The high-quality, easy-to-use AZ Pronto altazimuth mount provides excellent stability when paired with the included stainless steel tripod and allows for precise adjustment via flexible cables in azimuth and altitude. An extension column of 21.5 cm is included to increase height if necessary.
A powerful and accessible telescope/mount set, particularly recommended for beginners, but equally appreciated by experienced observers wanting an instrument always at hand.
