Acuter is a world-renowned brand specializing in the design of innovative, high-quality products for amateur astronomy and educational use.
The new Acuter Voyager MAK127-Fast is a high-quality, high-performance Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 127 mm aperture. Compact and easy to transport, it is ideal for observing and discovering the night sky. With its straight, non-inverted image, it also allows for daytime nature observation. The multi-coated optical system ensures maximum contrast and high sharpness. The included smartphone adapter allows you to easily photograph your observations with your phone.
The optics:
The term FAST refers to the patented friction focuser. Unlike the classic focus knob that requires many turns, this telescope is equipped with a friction focuser operated by two adjustment buttons that move the primary mirror to achieve optimal focus. It also features a practical focus scale indicating distances of 16 m, 32 m, and infinity. This focuser allows for quick and precise focusing without fumbling.
The telescope is compact and light enough to accompany you on your next travels.
The set includes the 127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain optical tube with a focal length of 1359 mm, a 20 mm eyepiece providing 68x magnification with a 70° apparent field of view, a 6x30 optical finder, a high-quality 90° roof prism with phase correction, a smartphone adapter, and a transport bag. The telescope can be complemented with additional standard 1.25" eyepieces to achieve other magnifications.
The telescope mounts on any photo tripod thanks to the standard 1/4" thread and can also be used on any astronomical mount via the 45 mm dovetail.
The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov (1896-1964), a Russian optician and astronomer who designed this type of telescope in 1941.
The mount:
The Acuter Traverse Pro GoTo mount is a compact, elegant, and high-performance GoTo altazimuth mount that is motorized and computerized, making it ideal for astronomy. Quiet and easily transportable, it is well-suited for both beginners and experienced amateur astronomers.
With a load capacity of 5 kg — double that of the standard Traverse GoTo mount — the Acuter Traverse Pro can accommodate heavier telescopes. A stable stainless steel tripod with an accessory tray and telescoping legs is included in the set.
Equipped with integrated Bluetooth and WiFi, this mount has been designed for use anywhere without requiring an existing WiFi network. It can be wirelessly controlled from your smartphone or tablet via the free Acuter Sky App for iOS and Android. The Acuter Traverse Pro mount, combined with the Acuter Sky App, forms a fully computerized GoTo mount capable of automatically pointing to over 11,000 celestial objects listed in the app's database. You simply enter your coordinates, follow a simple alignment procedure, and you are ready to explore your favorite objects in the universe thanks to the intuitive touchscreen interface.
