The Mountaineer Series 0 tripod

The GT0542 carbon tripod from Gitzo is the most compact of the 4-section tripods in the Mountaineer collection: it measures just 48 cm long when folded. The tubes of this professional tripod are made from Carbon eXact, a remarkably lightweight and stiff carbon fiber. The last section is 40% wider than the previous version for a stiffer and more resilient tripod. The GT0542 tripod from Gitzo weighs only 1.12 kg, supports a load of 8 kg, and offers a maximum working height of 137 cm. It is an ideal tripod for demanding professional photographers.

The quick central column can be easily removed to provide a stable tripod at ground level and capture images from different perspectives. The 4-section legs feature G-lock Ultra locking rings with an integrated ring that protects the system from dust and dirt. The tripod's chassis has been redesigned to provide additional rigidity, and the wider angle selectors allow for even easier adjustment of each leg's angle. The tripod is equipped with a stabilizing hook on the central column to add weight and increase stability when working conditions require it. Attaching a ball head to this tripod is simple thanks to the double 1/4″ and 3/8″ thread.
