The telescope mount:

The WAVE mounts from Sky-Watcher utilize the strain wave design with its high torque and compact construction, providing precision and high performance in an affordable and portable package. With exclusive features not found on any other strain wave mount, the new WAVE series is a serious upgrade and improvement over the already immensely popular astronomical mounts from Sky-Watcher.

The Sky-Watcher WAVE-100i is based on a strain wave or harmonic gear design. This drive gear design offers a number of advantages, including high-precision tracking with minimal backlash for long exposure photography and a compact design with a remarkable payload-to-weight ratio that allows for the use of different devices while being easily transportable.

The WAVE-100i offers a payload capacity of 10 kg (15 kg with the optional counterweight kit) while being incredibly compact and lightweight. The WAVE mounts from Sky-Watcher also feature EQ and AZ tracking modes with RA and DEC output positions, dual-adjustable saddles, a latitude range of 0 to 90º, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality, an RA brake when power is cut, as well as a backlit latitude indicator and bubble level in red to greatly simplify your setup routine.
