The telescope's optics:
The Sky-Watcher Heritage-90 telescope is ideal for observing the Moon and planets as well as double stars thanks to its powerful 90 mm Maksutov Cassegrain optics, but it can also be used for daytime terrestrial observations with high magnifications.


The telescope mount:

The Sky-Watcher Virtuoso™ mount is a stable platform that automatically tracks celestial objects once they are set in the telescope. The telescope can be moved automatically at 5 different speeds in both axes using the electronic control panel.

A brilliant idea is the patented “Freedom-Find” dual encoder technology integrated into the Virtuoso™, which allows the telescope to be moved in both axes without losing position data. This gives the user great freedom and convenience during observation sessions.

The Virtuoso™ mount can also be later equipped with a SynScan™ AZ GoTo Set with GoTo functionality, allowing it to automatically find over 42,900 celestial astronomical objects from its built-in database.

In addition to these fantastic possibilities for astronomy, the Virtuoso™ also has many others for photography:


Camera panoramic shooting: Automatically take photos with your DSLR camera at up to 6 preset positions. The mount automatically stops at these positions and triggers the camera. A Canon-D trigger cable is included in the delivery, other cables are available from Sky-Watcher.


Panning head for video/time-lapse photography: The mount can automatically orient the camera to up to 6 preset positions, without stopping in between. Up to 5 speeds can be selected for this purpose.


Panoramic/mosaic photography: The mount can control a DSLR camera over large panoramas up to 360°.
