The telescope's optics:
The same high-quality parabolic primary mirror used in the Explorer-150P telescopes has been utilized, making the Heritage-150P an excellent versatile and high-performing telescope that allows for stunning observations of the Moon and planets, as well as deep sky objects.

The patented FlexTube™ system, which folds, has been designed to facilitate the transport and storage of the telescope. It is designed to be comfortably used on a table, but also has a standard 3/8" photo thread at the base for use on an existing tripod. You can also optionally use our Sky-Watcher AZ5 stainless steel tripod (No. 20316), for example. The two parts of the telescope can also be used separately. For instance, you can use the telescope tube with the prism rail on an equatorial mount or attach another telescope to the Virtuoso mount.

This telescope is therefore particularly well-suited for travel. It is also very suitable, for example, for youth groups or in schools, thanks to its ease of use and high performance. The Heritage-150P Virtuoso GTi is thus a particularly versatile telescope.

The telescope mount:

The Sky-Watcher HERITAGE-150P (VIRTUOSO GTi) mount, easily portable, has been specially designed for wireless operation via WiFi with your smartphone or tablet using the free SynScan App for iOS or Android. The Virtuoso GTi mount, with its integrated WiFi module, creates its own WiFi network, allowing the mount to be used anywhere without needing to access another WiFi network or mobile network. After entering your details in the app and performing a simple alignment procedure, you are ready to explore the universe using the intuitive menus of the app's touchscreen.

The Virtuoso GTi and the SynScan app form a fully computerized GoTo control that allows for automatic alignment of the telescope to any object in the extensive database of over 10,000 celestial objects contained in the app. The telescope incorporates the patented Sky-Watcher Freedom-Find™ Dual-Encoder technology, which also allows you to move the telescope by hand without losing previously recorded position information. This allows for more comfortable, flexible, and easier observation.
