These right ascension (RA) & declination (Dec) MicroTrack EQ3-2 motors with multi-speed control paddle are designed to compensate for the Earth's rotation. Its speed matches that of the Earth, so stars appear stationary in the telescope's eyepiece. The control paddle allows you to change the speed for centering objects at 2x, 4x, or 8x sidereal speed. North & South function.
