These right ascension (A.D.) & declination (Dec) Dual-Axis Motor Drive EQ5 motors with multi-speed control paddle are designed to compensate for the Earth's rotation. Its speed matches that of the Earth, so stars appear motionless in the telescope's eyepiece. The control paddle allows you to change the speed for centering objects at 2x, 4x, or 8x the sidereal speed. North & South function.
