Included in this set:

#21 Orange The orange filter, by blocking the spectral ranges of blue and green, enhances details in the cloud bands of Saturn and Jupiter. On Mars, it sharpens the boundaries between the orange and greenish areas.

#25 Red The red filter almost completely blocks blue and green light; it therefore provides very good contrast, e.g., between bluish structures and the lighter details on Jupiter's and Saturn's cloudy surfaces. That said, it is primarily used for observing the polar caps on Mars.

#82A Light blue The light blue filter can be used for the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. It improves contrast in areas where it is weak, without significantly affecting the planet's brightness. This is why this filter is often used in combination with others.

#12 Yellow The yellow filter enhances contrast on lunar craters, while on Mars, it brings out the channels and polar caps more. On Jupiter and Saturn, it enhances the contrast of the bluish ammonia cloud bands.

#56 Light green The light green filter is ideal for observing the ice caps on Mars and the yellowish sandstorms on the surface of this planet. It also enhances the contrast of reddish and bluish structures in Jupiter's atmosphere.

#47 Violet The violet filter completely blocks red, yellow, and green light, which is useful for observing the polar regions of Mars. Its use in larger telescopes (>30 cm) also allows distinguishing structures in the atmosphere of Venus.
