Start your journey into the world of astrophotography.

With the new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC DEEP SKY ASTRO camera, you have a modern complete kit to easily take astronomical photos and videos. Finally, a camera that is easy to use for photographing galaxies, star clusters, the Moon, and even planets thanks to high resolution and low sensor noise. With the fast USB-3 interface of the computer, all images can be transferred in just a few seconds. Long waiting times are a thing of the past.

Simply connect the camera via the T2 internal thread (M42, 0.75 mm) or via the included 2’’ (50.8 mm) plug adapter to your telescope, and after installing the driver and the included EXPLORE Capture shooting software, you will be ready to take your first real astrophotos with a highly specialized camera.

The included professional EXPLORE Capture software not only provides the basic functions necessary for taking photos and videos, but also offers many special functions for image editing and camera configuration. Functions such as live image display, exposure adjustment, white balance, image correction, stacking, time-lapse shooting, and many other functions can be configured individually. This very sophisticated software will greatly facilitate your entry into astrophotography. With the automatic settings, you will already achieve quite presentable results without prior knowledge. If you wish, you can deactivate the automatic settings and gradually try your hand at individual professional settings.

The new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC DEEP SKY camera features a high-sensitivity and very low-noise SONY Panasonic CMOS sensor that can be cooled down to 40°C below ambient temperature via a two-stage thermoelectric cooling system. This ensures, unlike conventional reflex cameras, significantly reduced noise and fewer hot pixels in your photos. The images are not only much sharper and brighter, but they also contain more usable image information. The adjustment of the desired temperature of the camera allows for the creation of dark frames under reproducible shooting conditions at any time. The large-format CMOS sensor with a diagonal of 21.9 mm also allows for a large field of view and significantly facilitates the adjustment and centering of objects.

The camera has an integrated USB hub on the back with 2 USB 2.0 ports. Connect your autoguider or focus motor, etc., with a USB cable, thus reducing the risk of tangling or damaging your cables. You no longer need to use cables to connect your accessories to your computer.

A hard case for the camera and accessories is also included in the kit.

NOTE:

Do not be misled by the number of megapixels and the seemingly contradictory price of the camera. In astronomy, it is not the sensor resolution but the maximum light sensitivity that is the determining criterion. The main goal is to capture as much light as possible in the shortest amount of time.
