The Advanced Coma-Free ACF UHTC Optics

The Advanced Coma-Free (ACF) optical system has brought the highest level of optical performance within reach of most enthusiasts. Thanks to Meade's exclusive design, ACF optics deliver aplanatic performance, with a flatter field, reduced astigmatism, and eliminated diffraction spikes. Combined with Meade's ultra-high transmission coatings (standard on all LX200-ACF systems), you have the ultimate in high-end optics.

All LX200 models feature a primary mirror locking mechanism that effectively prevents primary mirror movement during astrophotography or long-exposure observation. Turn the locking knob located just above the telescope's main focus knob, and the progressive tension primary lock completely cancels any residual image shift caused by mirror movement during viewing, photography, or imaging sessions.

Features

Optical features include a 10" (254 mm) aperture, a focal length of 2500 mm, and a focal ratio of f/10. The single-speed internal focus allows for precise focus control, and the UHTC coatings provide impressive views of brighter star clusters, finer details in nebulae, and more significant surface features on planets. The optical tube weighs 11.8 kg and its dimensions are 460 mm in length x 250 mm in diameter.
